She is intolerant rather than it causing major health issues, and her tolerance seems to have improved slightly after many strict years) gluten and dairy-free and I would like to make some more interesting things for her. alisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03998904493010748471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2891903968030406006.post-26332816022660745402012-10-07T15:47:25.728+01:002012-10-07T15:47:25.728+01:00Hi Carol.

In the end, wasn't that difficult as our meals didn't include much gluten and I've always cooked from scratch as much as possible. Plus Sous Chef J hated all things wheat based...

Our philosophy is 'if it works for you... ' Hope this helps!

L&JL and Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17565988217026666130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2891903968030406006.post-15577666254214815582012-10-07T15:42:21.233+01:002012-10-07T15:42:21.233+01:00Thanks for your comment.

So, it was advised that we try to reduce stress on his gut by eliminating gluten and lactose. This would, hopefully, allow repair. All a long time ago and more medical diagnoses since lead us to believe this was a timely decision for him.

Have heard of paleo diet but what we started with was the GAPS diet (a bit like the Specific Carbohydrate Diet) in 2006 (book regarding that is in the book list - Gut & Psychology Syndrome).

Could go on (and on) but won't!

L (&J)L and Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17565988217026666130noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2891903968030406006.post-85742844179268380292012-10-05T22:52:57.705+01:002012-10-05T22:52:57.705+01:00Hi Just hopping around the blogring and saying hel...Hi Just hopping around the blogring and saying hello.

I am curious about this too, I am very sensitive to breads/pastas etc and often think I should consider going gluten free.

Carol(Welcome to Our World)Adminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05016760153402908872noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2891903968030406006.post-33711062241807787862012-10-05T00:43:51.081+01:002012-10-05T00:43:51.081+01:00I'd love to know more about the whole gluten f...I'd love to know more about the whole gluten free thing. How did you find out you needed to be for starters? Would a paleo diet be a way forward? Am very curious. Jax Blunthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09415759029231313958noreply@blogger.com
